Rainbow Ball

I’m sick of knitting large projects that just don’t seem to end, so over the weekend I cast-on and finished the Rainbow Ball kit that I bought on Orcas Island.

This was fun to knit – great colors, an easily memorized pattern, and no ends to weave in. Well, there were lots of ends, but they’re all inside the ball now. I love it when that happens!

Wow Katie, that’s really cute! I wonder if my cats would appreciate a smaller version stuffed with catnip? And such a sneaky idea for all those ends – I really hate sewing the ends in, I even considered making the mitre square blankie double sided just so I could get out of it!

    Hi Lainey

Completely possible to make for a cat. To quote the instructions:

“If you are making the ball for FIDO or FLUFFY, it might be a good idea to use acrylic yarn and stuff it with rags for sturdy play.”
